Joyful Beginnings is designed for families who already have some foundation in Mandarin Chinese. It’s not a “learn from zero” program, but rather a tool to help you bring Mandarin into your preschooler’s daily rhythm in a joyful, structured way. It works best if the parent, caregiver, tutor, or nanny can read basic Chinese and speak at a beginning level. To support you, most Chinese text is provided with zhuyin (traditional version) or pinyin (simplified version), so you won’t be left guessing. You’ll also find links to audio for nursery rhymes and Tang poems to enrich learning and guide pronunciation—so even if you’re not confident in your own skills, you can still give your child rich, authentic Chinese input plus grow in your own language abilities.
